The information platform and interest alliance

The “Swiss Village Abu Dhabi Association (SVA)” was initiated by the “Swiss Sustainability Initiative (SSI)” (now swisscleantech) and is supported by the Swiss Embassy, Osec as well as other sponsors. The goal is to represent the interests of Swiss companies that see business potential in Masdar as suppliers and/or wish to locate their registered head offices in the UAE in Masdar.

SVA is an official Masdar partner. With the body responsible, the stateowned “Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC)”, it has signed a memorandum of understanding for a dedicated site for the Swiss Village, concluded special terms for supplies and is promoting further development locally. In Switzerland, the association handles promotion and information for everything about Masdar and the Swiss Village. In the meantime, SVA is among more than 170 member companies of every conceivable size and from a wide range of sectors.

Membership of the SVA is a prerequisite for consideration, firstly, for the allocation of leased space and orders in the Swiss Village and, secondly, for being able to claim support for supplying outside the Swiss Village. SVA is backed by an executive committee with Osec, swisscleantech, Swissmem as well as the companies Implenia and Oerlikon.
